DAF Trucks to Judge 'Safety Innovation of the Year' Award
As part of their sponsorship, DAF Trucks will take on the role of judging the 'Safety Innovation of the Year' award. This award celebrates innovative solutions that have significantly improved safety in engineering practices. It aims to recognise organisations or individuals who have developed, implemented, or championed safety innovations that set new benchmarks for the industry.
Ian Grant will lead DAF Trucks' involvement as a judge for this category. Ian has over 40 years of experience in the transport industry, starting his career as a vehicle mechanic in the Armed Forces. Following 14 years of service, he worked for the FTA and was Service Manager at a franchised commercial vehicle workshop. Since joining DAF in 2005, Ian has held senior positions in both Aftersales and Sales, most recently as UK Aftersales Director and has just moved to a new role, Customer Service Director – UK & Ireland.
